Meet Scarlett, or “Scar” as she’s more affectionately known. This 2-year old didn’t seem to mind the cold temps as she climbed all over the heritage homestead at Katherine Fleischer Park. And feast your eyes on that fantastic kimono dress. Her mom has quite the crafty eye, being pretty crafty herself (check out Brandy’s Etsy Shop). Scarlett was ready to share all the animal sounds she knows (quite a lot) – as well as her favorite colors. Definitely a smarty, that one.

Y’all get to meet another set of my awesome neighbors. Meet the Logues: this group of five is bursting with personality and charm. We met under the trees at Central Market to escape the 90 degree heat. Lyla (8 months) was sweet and calm. Scarlett (5) wanted to play hide and seek. Aiden (7) had his football to toss around. And Corby and Shana helped wrangle them all together.
My favorite outtakes are the ones that highlight their personalities. Scarlett’s exuberance. Aiden hooking horns. Lyla’s big, big curious eyes.

Meet Aaron, 6 months old: I’ll give you all a moment while you think about squooshing those perfect baby cheeks. I went and photographed him and his parents around the Mueller Park Lake last weekend.
So neither hot, humid weather, sudden rainstorms or birthday parties in first location choices stopped the smiles at this portrait session. What a lovely and happy family.

Can we talk about how stunningly cute this kid is? I mean, those eyes, that face! I went and photographed Oliver, 19 months old, and his parents, Nadyne and Darby, this past weekend.
Nadyne and I were pregnant at the same time, and Oliver is only a few weeks older than Max. It’s been fun comparing milestone after milestone. At their portrait session, Oliver had fun running around the yard, throwing rocks in the (empty) fish pond and riding his rocking moose.
