Tanglewood Park – Fall Family Photo Session

Tanglewood Park – Fall Family Photo Session

It’s a yearly tradition to meet at Tanglewood Park for this Family’s Holiday photo session. And as with any photo session involving a toddler, we all followed little brother’s lead. Which meant taking frequent snack breaks and always being on the move to check out new parts of the park.

At-home – Fall Family Session

At-home – Fall Family Session

Because of Covid, I’ve had many more at-home sessions than any other year. And this fun family got to to hang out and play around in their front and backyard in South Austin for their holiday photos.

Bull Creek – Fall Family Photo Session

Bull Creek – Fall Family Photo Session

There’s a reason I always see at least five other photographers working at Bull Creek whenever I shoot there in the Fall. Between the water and the rocks and Fall colors, it’s a magical kind of place. Besides that, it also makes me say, “Oh – that’s my new favorite log!” when I find a new spot to let families hang out on.

This mom requested Fall color for her yearly family photo session. So the hunt was on for the best location … luckily Mill Pond was serving up some yellow and orange tones for us.

Seaholm – Senior Portrait Session

Seaholm – Senior Portrait Session

This lovely McCallum Senior requested a colorful outdoor location for her portrait session. After sending her mom some choices, we decided to meet up in the Seaholm/Butterfly Bridge area.

Exploring different murals, street art and architecture, this comic book artist and future scientist was game for climbing bridges and searching for the best backgrounds.

Central Park – Fall Family Photo Session

Central Park – Fall Family Photo Session

Wondering where to have your family photos this year? If convenience, comfort and central locations are important to you…

The Central Park walking path behind Central Market on North Lamar is a great choice!

  • Centrally-located with plenty of parking
  • Kid-friendly (kids can climb the tree or look for turtles in the pond) and Pet-friendly
  • Variety of backgrounds from the water to the parking garage

Plus if you want to treat your kids to ice cream afterwards, that’s available at the Central Market grocery store next door.

It’s been a recurring location choice for this lovely family. And it gave their new dog another place to explore.
