Once again, I met up with a charming family at the Brushy Creek Community Center. Their gardens were still in gorgeous bloom. Eight month old Benjamin was so curious about everything around him – and we were in a race against the setting sun to capture all the fun moments. And Rusty, their dog, made sure to add his own sweetness to the family photos.

Y’all, I can barely stand how much fun this family was to photograph. Those kids, Arden and Greyson, are bursting with personality and charm. And the weather couldn’t have been nicer to be out at Butler Park at sunset.

For this year’s holiday portraits, his mom had the great idea of meeting at the Avenue B. Grocery (who were nice enough to let us take photos there) – as well as using the Austin, Texas mural on Guadalupe St. And in addition to appearing in a few photos, Aaron’s aunt was on hand to get all those great smiles to appear. I believe there was some “dancing like a tiger” involved.

You may remember Kate and Carsyn from their one year portraits or their holiday photos last year. Here’s a small sneak peek of the session we just had that encompassed Halloween costumes, Christmas and Fall outfits. Expect the full post in 2014 once their holiday cards get sent out.
You may remember Scarlett from her 2nd birthday photosor her little brother, Wesley, from his newborn portrait session. I love seeing how much these kids have changed in a short amount of time. We met up Sunday morning at the Elizabeth Milburn Park in Cedar Park, Texas. Scarlett was full of smiles and laughter – all through multiple outfit and accessory changes. And when Wesley was fussing, she was on hand to help. Happy 3rd Birthday, Miss Scar! You are a ray of sunshine.

Just like last year, the Logues got a hot, humid 90 degree day for their photo shoot. Luckily The Blanton Museum of Art was kind and willing to let us come in and have the photography session in their atrium. That gorgeous blue background is Stacked Waters by Teresita Fernández.
For the time window of our shoot, the Museum was about to close (and it was Texas-OU weekend) – so the place was practically empty. With barely anyone else around, the kids got to run around the atrium, up and down the stairs, play follow the leader and then some hide and seek behind the columns. It was happy, quick-shooting chaos, with a few “freeze!” moments thrown in.
