Old Settlers Park | Austin Maternity Photographer
When we looked at the weather forecast for this maternity session and saw highs in the 90s, this couple graciously switched from a sunset to a sunrise session. Bonus – their location, Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, was mostly deserted that early.
We walked around the water and explored as the sun rose. Also, I loved how prepared they were with great props and accessories we got to incorporate into their photos. Best wishes on the birth of your baby boy later this summer!

- EVENTS CALENDAR: Check out their Events calendar in case of conflicts.
- PARKING: There are multiple parking lots throughout the park
- LOCATIONS: I like the waterfront area best
- RESTROOMS: There are public restroom across the park
- NEARBY RESTAURANTS: If you’d like to go out for dinner after your photo session, some nearby options include Salt Lick BBQ near the Dell Diamond, Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill and Torchy’s Tacos.
- DOG-FRIENDLY: Yes, as long as they are on leash.
- WHAT TO BRING: Baby clothes, ultrasound photos, nursery gear, etc.

For the summer months, if you don’t want to get up at sunrise or be in the water for your portrait session – there are several great indoor photo studio locations in and around Austin to choose from. Most require a location fee – prices range from $75 to $200/hour.
Top 10 Indoor Locations to beat the Summer Heat include:

- Ice Plant Building – La Grange, TX – $100/hour
- Barr Mansion – Northeast Austin; Monday-Thursday 10am-5:30pm and Friday-Sunday 9am-1pm *depending on our event schedule – $150/hour
- One Eleven East – Hutto, TX – $95/hour (2-hour minimum)
- The Lumen Room – South Austin – can book online, $75/hour
- CityHouse Collective – Pflugerville, TX – can book online, $115/hour
- Laguna Gloria – Central Austin – $100/hour
- The Social House – Cedar Park – $75/hour
- The Commune – Central Austin – $100/hr. with a 2 hour minimum (would work best for a branding session)
- Woodbine Mansion – Round Rock, TX – $250/2 hr session

Old Settlers Association | Austin Senior Photographer
This Class of 2021 Cedar Ridge High School Senior (Go Raiders!) met me at the Old Settlers Association in Round Rock, TX for his Senior Photo Session. We made sure to get lots of photos with his sweet dog, Buddy, as we explored the old barns and buildings.
Cade’s post-High School plans involve joining the Marines and then on to College to study Mechanical Engineering.
