Welcome to a super fun Superman / Dinosaur 3rd birthday party! Held at Northwest Greenway Park in the Mueller Development, this photo session was part family reunion / part birthday party documentation.
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to photograph this warm and lovely family multiple times, most recently when Baby Mara was a newborn. And this time was equally a treat – whether wearing dinosaur masks, making toy dinosaurs “rowr” or climbing on park tables, this family was happy to be together.

Last time I was at Red Bud Isle was for Allie and John’s engagement photos with their sweet dog, Marley. I wanted to see how the Mexican plum and Redbud trees were doing this Spring. We went out Sunday morning, and like last time, the biggest issue was parking. There are only a few spots to be had in the lot (and with dog training lessons going on that morning as well) – zero spots were open. Ted and Miles ended up dropping off Max and me for some brief exploring.
If you did want a family portrait session here (highly recommended in Springtime if you also want to include your family dog(s), you’d either have to have the best parking karma ever, be dropped off or park over a mile away and hoof it back. Not the best scenario if you want to look your sparkling best for family photos.
I need to investigate if weekday mornings or evenings are less crowded as an option. Though if any of your kiddos are at all afraid of dogs, it’s a mostly off-leash park.

It was a beautiful drive out to Wimberley, Texas last weekend for Helen’s first birthday party and photo session. Nearby family was ready to celebrate with noise makers & party hats. Helen loved being around her older cousins (and that cupcake icing wasn’t too bad either!)

Now that the holiday cards have gone out, I can share the other half of Carsyn’s holiday portrait session (see Halloween photos HERE). We spent the morning at Mill Pond as she jumped, danced and posed.
Carsyn picked out the Christmas props herself – though the 6 foot inflatable Christmas Minnie Mouse was (sadly?) left at home.

This little lady loved the leaves! And we lucked out that the rain only drizzled on us and bit and then went away. She had a great time running around their front yard during our family photo session.
