It’s always fun to hang out and take pictures of Woods & Family. I especially like documenting the gallery of facial expressions he can produce 🙂
We went to Old Settlers Association in Round Rock, TX. In between kicking the soccer ball around, we played hug attack, sang jingle bells and admired the old tractors. I’m happy to share their sweet family moments.

I got to photograph a pretty cute cat for Halloween this week. Check out Carsyn as we explored Twin Lakes Park.

Let’s all welcome the newest Cooper Brother: Sebastian!
I got to go play with these three as they took turns holding their younger brother and goofing around the backyard. Matt (age 3) kept bringing me all the props he wanted to include (yoga block, ice pack, pink gardening gloves). Henry (age 6) was so sweet and concerned that Sebastian (2 weeks old) was about to explode his diaper. And Sebastian was relaxed and happy to be with this bunch.

Summer Maternity Session with your Dogs | Austin Family Photography
Triny, Neer, Maddie and Stella joined me at the Bull Creek Park Greenbelt one recent hot August night. I’d brought ice packs to keep us cool as we walked down and then into the water.
Just a few more weeks as you wait for baby-to-be to come out and join us!

If you live in Austin and are also interested in having your Maternity Photo Session at Bull Creek District Park, check out my tips below.
Tips for Photo Sessions at Bull Creek Park:
- Bring a towel and water shoes if you don’t mind going in the Creek for some photos and want to dry off afterwards.
- There is a restroom at the park if needed
- This location works well for an early morning or a sunset session.
- This spot is very popular for all types of photo sessions, so don’t be surprised to see other photographer’s working there.
- Parking – it’s never happened to me or my clients (knock on wood), but I’ve seen lots of reports of car windows being smashed and broken into in their parking lot – so be cautious

I was curious about Emma Long City Park. Would it work well for a family portrait session or just be a fun place to take the boys to play?
So we took the boys out one weekend morning – and I managed to get a few pictures before the thunderstorm rolled in. They enjoyed the small patch of “beach,” walking out on the docks, and just seeing how many campers were out as well.
If you have kids who like the water (and are old enough to be trusted to walk on the docks) – it’s a pretty site to visit (or be photographed in.) It costs $10/car on the weekend ($5/car weekdays) – though there’s a trail you can access for free before you get to the River. We’ll save that hike for our next visit…

Edited to add (9/28/15) – went back to Emma Long Park with Miles this weekend – funnily enough, wearing the same yellow shirt, and he had in no short time, gotten himself totally sandy and wet – but was in bliss.
