For your portrait session, here are some suggestions for places around town we could go.

1) your house – can be indoor or outdoor, no travel time, high comfort level

2) City of Austin park directory – pick your favorite place, depends on weather

3) City of Austin pool directory – (summer only), pick your favorite spot to cool off

4) Berry picking farms – (various locations, seasonal), not only will you come home with photographs, you’ll also come home with produce

5) Pumpkin patches – (various locations, seasonal), dress your little ones in costume, and I’ll be there to document it among the pumpkins

6) Dog Parks – want to include your furry family members as well?

7) Mural inspiration – fun spots all around town for engagement or family sessions


  1. Kiddie Acres – free to get in, but rides cost extra (carousel, ferris wheel, ponies, train), great for kids age 2-10
  2. Dell Diamond – take me out to the ball game, we’ll all get tickets (lawn seating) to a game (when the Round Rock Express are in season), hang out, watch the game, eat hot dogs, and I’ll get pics of all the fun
  3. Veteran’s Memorial Pool – (summer only), break out the goggles and sunscreen – let me capture all the water-sogged fun
  4. Chapparal Ice – entrance fee, does your family love to skate? want to escape the heat? let’s go ice skating
  5. Playland Skate Center – entrance fee, roller skating or roller blading
  6. Katherine Fleischer Park – in Wells Branch but check out that super cute playhouse
  7. Brushy Creek Community Center – gorgeous gardens with koi ponds and a bridge
  8. Mill Pond – gorgeous trees, pond and walkways – easy parking and kid-friendly


  1. Zilker Park – we can ride the train together, chase pigeons, go kayaking, play on the playground, eat snowcones or go swimming at Barton Springs OR hop across the street to the Botanical Gardens (additional $50 fee) or Nature Center
  2. South Congress – we can visit your favorite stores, eat Amy’s Ice Cream, drool over Big Top Candy Shop, pose in front of the mural at Jo’s
  3. St. Edwards – show me your favorite spots on campus or we can visit the fields during bluebonnet season
  4. Butler Park – great views of downtown skyline, map of Texas on Doug Sahm hill and fun fountain
  5. Peter Pan putt putt golf – so many great statues to pose by as you play through


  1. Camp Mabry – bluebonnets patch in the Spring or if your kid is plane-crazy
  2. Central Market park – the park next to Central Market with the ducks and turtles
  3. Dart Bowl – lace up your bowling shoes and put on matching shirts, you’ll roll while I snap
  4. University of Texas Campus – do you bleed orange? We’ll visit your favorite spots around campus. Hook ’em Horns!
  5. Laguna Gloria – $25-$80 location fee added to session cost
  6. Capitol building – can be indoor or outdoor
  7. Mayfield Park – $50 additional fee, some weekend restrictions on booking


  1. Mueller Airport Park – lots of green space and creative playground equipment


  1. 360 bridge – park below, also has great wildflowers in Spring
  2. Mount Bonnell – beautiful views
