We took the boys to check out a spot on the Shoal Creek Trail that Ted usually runs by. It’s near the “Shoal Creek Gazebo” on the map. Many sticks were collected. Many stones were thrown in the creek. Trees and rocks were climbed. A very lovely morning was had by all.
I met up with Truman & Family by the Pedestrian Bridge before sunset. We watched the trains, listened to the drum circle that happened to be there and practiced our best ninja style jumps.

I met up with the Cooper Family at Balcones District Park for their Bluebonnet portrait session.
Some sessions lend themselves to more laughter and more excitement – like when Matt (3) tripped and fell in dog poop on our way to the bluebonnets (pictures taken so far: 0) or when Matt (3) jumped up enthusiastically & unexpectedly and gave his dad a black eye (pictures taken: 50% done). What else can I say? Three-year-olds – they keep you on your toes. And luckily, Lorraine is super action-ready with the wet wipes.
But, oh how sweet Henry (6) was holding his little brother, Sebastian (6 months)!

We took the boys to the University of Texas this weekend to run around. Our favorite spot is the Architecture Building’s courtyard – get a load of that beautiful tile work in the empty fountain. I imagine it would be an ever nicer spot around sunset. We also walked through the Union, past the greenhouse to spend the most time watching the koi, turtles and minnows in the pond near the foot of the Tower.

It’s always fun to hang out and take pictures of Woods & Family. I especially like documenting the gallery of facial expressions he can produce 🙂
We went to Old Settlers Association in Round Rock, TX. In between kicking the soccer ball around, we played hug attack, sang jingle bells and admired the old tractors. I’m happy to share their sweet family moments.
